About Me

I was born in Charlotte, NC and moved often growing up. My family ended up in Decatur, AL for my senior year of high school. That’s where I met my husband Lee. In 2006, work brought us to Shelby County and for the last twelve years we have been happy to call it home.

After high school, I received a piano scholarship to attend Wallace State College in Hanceville, AL and was awarded an Associates Degree in Music Education. I then transferred to Auburn University and received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.

After college, I was hired by Delta Air Lines as a Flight Attendant. For the next 17 years I traveled around the world visiting many different countries and cultures. While employed at Delta, I was a purser and was recognized on several occasions for outstanding leadership and service. In 2014, I retired from Delta.

I have also worked with an anti-terrorism consulting firm in the Washington D.C. area as the National Accounts Manager.¬† This endeavor allowed me to work with some of our country’s finest heroes; veterans from all branches of our armed forces who bravely served our country.

Since moving to Tennessee, I have been involved in the Republican Party of Shelby County and have volunteered on many campaigns . For the past several years have served as the Executive Director of the party. My relationships with current elected officials in both Shelby County and Nashville make me uniquely qualified to hit the ground running on day one.

I am also active I the community and have volunteered with the PTA at Arlington Elementary School where our sons attend.

My husband and I have been married since 2005 and we have two sons; Grayson (10) and Tanner (7). The Mills family attends Bellevue Baptist Church.
